About this piece:
I had originally submitted this piece for a call for art for a cancer center but it didn’t make the cut. My inspiration for this piece was my sister and my memories of her being at the hospital during her cancer treatments. The call for art gave a brief description of color palette but also asked for art that would be bring tranquility. I tried to put myself in the shoes of not only the patients but also visitors and staff and my hope was that this piece would bring a sense of calm either by the color palette and/or by the mark making because I feel it’s a piece you can easily “get lost in” hence the title “Daydream”

This original is signed and dated on the back. Last name is painted in bottom right hand corner.
This painting has been preserved with a matte spray varnish to protect from UV.
Hanging hardware and wiring is attached to the back and ready to hang.
